3 Bedroom House in Chautauqua, Mayville

Welcome to our lakehouse! Our 3-bedroom cottage is situated right on the water, with dock access just a few steps away. Fully renovated from the studs up, this 3-bedroom house can sleep up to 6 people. During the renovation, we made every effort to make the home feel comfortable and relaxing for your vacation, which includes full air conditioning! The master bedroom features a king sized bed with wonderful lake views. The second bedroom is appointed with a queen sized bed and a view of the canal that runs alongside the property. The third bedroom has twin bunk beds. Our main living space is open concept, with a full wall of windows overlooking the lake. The kitchen is brand new, with beautiful granite countertops, island seating, and a large dining table. We have two indoor seating areas. The first is wonderful for conversation and drinking coffee (or a cocktail!). The second has a wonderfully deep sofa for lounging or watching a movie on our smart TV. There is a fully functioning wood-burning fireplace for winter nights, and plenty to do outdoors during the warmer months! Our large patio is filled with plenty of outdoor furniture and a propane grill. The side yard has a fire pit to warm up chilly nights, and a hammock that is perfect for afternoon naps. Our secluded bay is surprisingly close to most of Chautauqua's main attractions, such as the Chautauqua Institute, which is just about a 5 minute drive by car (or 10 minutes by boat!). You are welcome to dock your boat at the community dock where we have one dedicated space, located directly in front of our property. There is a public boat launch conveniently located, just around the corner at Prendergast Point. Come and enjoy a relaxing stay on Chautauqua Lake!
There is one exterior security camera on the property. It is mounted on the garage, and facing the road and parking area.

Summary: Rachel’s home was the absolute perfect place for my family to stay during our triathlon/Father’s Day weekend! The house was even cuter in real life and was easy to navigate with every modern convenience available. It was spacious for our group of 6 with little ones and offered plenty of options for our entire group. The home was tucked away on a quiet street and was right on the water. Our group enjoyed having coffee and cocktails out on the patio overlooking the lake. We were able to dock our boat right out front on the community dock which was a huge perk and then enjoy fires at night in the fire pit. We utilized the grill for steaks and the kitchen came equipped with everything we needed to cook meals our entire stay. There were plenty of towels and paper goods for the group, plenty of places to hang out together and separate, and no one felt like we needed anything more. Kudos to Rachel and her family for being great hosts, we look forward to coming back soon.

Summary: The cottage was beautifully designed and thoughtfully appointed, offering both comfort and charm. Its location and view were truly exceptional—especially the serene, picturesque scenes of Lake Chautauqua visible through the expansive windows. Although we visited on a chilly weekend and didn’t get to enjoy the patio or dock, the setting was still peaceful and relaxing. We’d love to return in mid-summer to take full advantage of the lake access and outdoor amenities. Rachel was also very responsive as well.

Summary: We had a wonderful time. March is not a time most people venture to a lake in NY but with the lake being frozen and a little bit of snow that fell it was absolutely gorgeous. We found the house to be cozy and provided amazing views of the lake. It was so lovely to just spend time together reading and relaxing. The house is well maintained and offers everything you might need. We did bring bottled water to drink due to the mineral content of the well water, but having stayed at other places with similar content that was overwhelming, it was hardly noticeable. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it with high praise,

Summary: Our family if 5 had a long weekend and we wanted to get away. The location of this property was perfect for us- beautiful, quiet, clean and very comfortable. Everything is newly renovated, the beds are super comfy and we loved the openness of the house. The dock was perfect for our fishing time and gave a gorgeous view of the lake. We will definitely be staying here again Thank you for sharing this gem with us!

Summary: This waterfront property provided us with convenient immediate access to put in our kayaks which was a priority for us. The spacious open living area provided a lovely view of the water via three walls of windows and the variety of outdoor seating areas allowed us to enjoy the outdoors in shade or full sun. The updated kitchen was very well supplied and easy to work in. Water pressure in the well appointed bathroom excellent. Bedroom size: Adequate. One negative I found was the tap water did not taste very good. Bottom Line: A very good stay.

Summary: The house was newly remodeled and very beautiful. The only minor issue that I had was the smell of the well water. We drink alot of water, so I just had to go to the store and buy more bottled water. We truly enjoyed our stay. The sunrises were beautiful. .
